I respectfully disagree. Gardner's arm is horrific in CF. Watching him against the O's earlier this season and he couldn't even hit Cano on the way to the plate and that was not at the warning track. Granderson has made a lot more plays in the field than Gardner...that's not even a question.

I understand CAshman wants to trade Granderson but that's not going to improve his stock to make him more appealable.

Yanks tied for best record in the AL. Mediocrity across the league or parity?

or maybe this team is good.. good pitching, timely hitting.... I mean I must say that I am completely shocked and happy at where we are considering that we have almost 100 mil sitting out injured... Vernon wells, Overbay, have been good for us. Just guys stepping up and playing big.... If this is a dream, don't wake me up..

the SP and Pen have been key...lets hope they dont burn out

it goes to show you dont need a lineup stacked with HR hitters to win

Makes me wonder what kind of positions players will inherit the shoes vacated by some very good players?

So far, so good with Pineda. Might be the right time as no one knows how Pettitte's health could play out especially with Nova on the DL.

Makes me wonder if Cashman will make a move to add another arm? Sergio Mitre LIVES!

A lot of talk about whether or not Montero may have JUICED with PEDS. Back during the Mariner series, I wrote about re-visiting the Montero-Pineda deal and if I was premature. Still a long ways from finding out if Pineda is the real deal but if he can give the Yanks 2 Great seasons, I think it's a win.

Another issue is wondering if the Yanks will package one of their outfielders and some prospects for another arm. I dunno if Pettitte will hold up. Dunno how CC will perform in the second half. Dunno where Hughes is.

Would YOU sacrifice this season to cement another young piece in the rotation?
