He fits the whole tough out, make a pitcher work, gritty hitter type that I like....we just lost alot of power when we lost Giambi...kinda need Phelps power in there. I'm down for a platoon, I'd still like to see what Shelly Duncans all about though

That one double play cairo started by leaping to get the ball was very nice. I think he can play the position, im just not sure i want his bat in the lineup every game. I would second the platoon with phelps. Hell if Damon can play at 1st a few games that would help as well.

now im thinking...if Damon plays 1st who DH's now? Matsui? then who plays LF? with the team constructed the way it is I think Damon DH for the foreseeable future is our best bet. This is obviously barring any trades.
