SF Giants (72-82) @ New York (82-73): For Mo

The game of baseball has changed more than the face of NYC and for those of us living in Manhattan and Brooklyn, that's saying a lot. It's no longer how you start but how you finish. Mariano Rivera's story is one that will be invigorating to every generation henceforth to the last page written about him on the way to Cooperstown. He's not just a great player but a legend. That was absolutely adrenalin pumping to see Metallica come out and perform "Enter Sandman" for Mo.

Last couple games, the Yankees have had their way beating up on the Giants. Can cross Tim Lincecum off the list of FA pitchers. Still the Yanks are 3 games out of second wild card. I don't know how Cleveland Indians jumped in front of them but it's seriously irritating me how the Yankees no-showed against Boston.

Andy Pettitte 3-1 ERA 2.08 in his last 8 starts keeping the score 1-1 through six. Yanks offense can't put it together despite some good hacks.

That was depressing. 9 hits only 1 run.
