Ellsbury and Yankees appear to be closing in on 7-year deal. http://cbsprt.co/1cXnbQa

That's way too much money invested in guys like McCann and Ellsbury. Ellsbury is so injury prone too. This could turn out to be as bad as the deal the Red Sox handed out to Crawford. Except, we'll probably end up being stuck with him.

As for Cano, he can go suck it if he wants a 10 year deal worth 240 mil. Let some other team for once give out a bad contract.

AWFUL DEAL, dude is very injury prone and when his speed goes so will the most dynamic part of his game.

i would rather have choo on 5 yr deal or Beltran on 2

Also: I doubt any team was close in money and years. Yanks always over spend vs themselves

Wow! I have always hated Ellsbury because he played for Boston but I admired his style of play. He will probably get hurt and paying him over 20 mill a year seems like a huuuge stretch but hey, hes a good player!

I think the McCan signing is alright. We desperately needed a catcher back there, it was pretty much an automatic out last year for us and he was probably the best option via free agency. Wish we coulda gotten Joe Mauer but he would require quite alot...
Go Knicks!

I hear the Mariners are serious about Cano and could give him $200M.

Let the Mariners overpay for him. The guy has a couple of prime years left. After that, his contract is going to look real awful once his production starts to decline. You don't give out long term deals to guys over 31.

I'd be grateful if that happened. The Mariners would saving the Yanks from themselves.

Yanks are preparing for the day Jeter can no longer hit lead off. Get guys on base for Beltran. Listen we can get 2 free agents for the price of Cano.

Return to New York Yankees
