i went to a yankees game last week

Post#1 » by Pharmcat » Wed Jun 20, 2007 5:19 pm

ok, ive been not posting alot the last week, ive been dealing with personal probs and went to nyc to relax a lil, while there, i went to the dbacks yanks game in which mussina pitched....just some random thoughts:

1) this hip hip jorge chant is soo cheesy :)
2) Arod is the best player in the game at the moment, the aura around him has changed this year as opposed to last year, and now, at every at bat, we are expecting him to hit a hr sort of like with bonds when he hit 73....in this game, Arod crushed the ball that hit the upper deck fascade.....the boo birds are gone, and Arod looks so relaxed at the plate, its so fun to see
3) Mussina pitched well in this game, but i still wouldnt trust him in a big game...he got a real good standing O when he left
4) Wil Nieves is out of his league, and should be released, he is so overmatched at the plate
5) Posada also is looking good
6) i cant understand why anyone would drive to the stadium from manhattan, taking the 4 train is so easy and fast and convenient
7) i saw the place where they are putting the new park, it seems to be right on track and it will be the house that Hughes built :D
8) the dbacks do have some good young players, i noticed all their players were like in their early 20s
9) Bruney looked good too: he throws 95 fastball, you hit or miss, i like that: just throw your best stuff and not fool around
10) i had fun :)

Some mod, botched up the whole thing yesterday. It was CMAFF's job to make a game thread because we won the last couple of games with CMAFF. Before CMAFF did, Bleedin Blue started one. I responded to it. Then CMAFF made one, some hot shot mod merged it, but botched it up. So I somehow become the thread creator, and the game thread started after my post. Just a big mess. So I blame Bleedin Blue for starting the whole thing. -Jitpal

The backseat modding is getting a little old jitpal, relax.

Kandi I was at that game too. Arods homerun was unreal. Then he hit two more into the bullpens against the Mets
