during last night's game, michael kay said that whenever sheff leaves a team, he trash talks about them afterwards. so this is just par for the course. the only difference with his latest rant is that it made it to HBO.

darn, gotta miss a bit of Bronx is Burning for this crap.

i just watched the interview with sheff on hbo (i actually just catched the last 10 mins or so)

he basically:

blames everything on bonds for telling him to take that stuff
blames bonds for introducing him to balco
says he trained with bonds, and thats what lead him to take that stuff
says 'roids are only when you stick needles in your ass
does not consider the cream and clear roids
admits to using the cream and clear

says that torre wanted vlad guerrero back when sheff was a FA and sheff felt disrespected when he tried to tell torre that he was the man the yankees needed. said that torre replied along the lines of " thats arrogant"

This is true. Steinbrenner's pick was Sheffield, Torre and Cashman wanted Vlad. Shortly after Steinbrenner stopped making baseball decisions and handed things off the Cashman.......

Imagine how much better off we'd be with Vlad.

To be fair, Vlad had major injury concerns, if I remember correctly. It would have been a huge gamble to go after Vlad. He had some back issues if I remember correctly. Obviously, if it worked out, we would have the greatest one-two punch in the majors. Arod/Vlad is better than Ortiz/Manny. -Jitpal
