Duncan to be added to roster

The Yankees plan to purchase the contract of DH Shelley Duncan today. No official word yet on who is being sent down.

UPDATE, 1:44 p.m.: The 27-year-old Duncan was hitting .295 with 25 homers and 79 RBI for Scranton. I

thanks for posting this. We need help in the worse way. Perhaps Duncan can come in and do a good job at DH.

Not just that, who knows? We might be trying to raise his value so we can get someone like Mark Teixeira.

I was thinking about this and then Torre went and stated it in the post game. Shelley is very reminiscent of Shane Spencer. They both battled through the minor and came up hitting a flurry of homeruns. I love this guys attitude, hes very intense and overall is very positive. The vets on this team will feed of this positive energy. If Im Joe I continue to DH this guy on and off and get him at-bats. He can also rotate with Andy a little at first to give him a breather.

Shelley Duncan is Shane Spencer. :) Let's get the most out of him when he is hot, the league will catch up with him soon like it did with Shane Spencer.

He is agressive wen he is swingin da bat and he has so much positive energy i 2 think he should continue 2 DH.

And the energy he provides could uplift the Yanks offense, and the last 2 games Duncan played in showed it.

Let's hope it's more Shane Spencer than Kevin Maas.
