Well that is in a perfect world where all of our pitching prospects work out, which is almost never the case. Also, I don't think either of the Duncans how much of a future in the majors, so we did something wrong if both of them are in our opening day starting lineup. It's pretty realistic for the most part so I'll give you credit. So much changes year by year it's almost impossible to predict anything.

I highly doubt Anson will ever make the major leagues and I doubt we'll have a totally homegrown rotation. One of the big free agent pitchers in the 2008 offseason will probably sign here.

What is with all the Yankees in '09-'10 threads? Anyways, this is a huge, huge change from now until then. Mo is looking for a 2 year extension to what I recall meaning he will still be here. I think Posada would still be around then too. I would imagine there would be at least a couple pitchers from outside acquired either by trade or free agency on this team. Our farm is strong but to think that we can stock an entire major league roster with impact guys from our farm is a bit ridiculous. I would imagine K-Rod sticks with the Angels and I'm not really a big fan of his. Great stuff but I feel with all that motion in his delivery he isn't going to last late into his career. Please, no Andruw Jones. I doubt either of Duncan guys are here except for maybe a pinch hitter off the bench. I just don't see it. -Jitpal

Our starting pitching staff should look like this:

1. Johan Santana
2. Hughes
3. Wang
4. Joba
5. Kennedy

I agree...I hope Johan comes to town. He's my favorite non-Yankee player...love that dude!

I like that Johan doesn't have much mileage on his arm. He didn't throw his first 200 inning season until he was 24. He'll be 29 when he hits free agency. :droop: He'll just be hitting his prime then, you would think.

Everybody on the farm except for Hughes is up for grabs if Johan is on the market - even Joba.
