I could say the same thing...

Melky with a jumping catch against the wall

I gave you evidence about how bad he's been the last month. How he's been below average overall for the year.

You ignore it and call me foolish. Whatever. Facts don't agree with you. Melky has been in a horrible slump and he's been pretty average overall. Unbelievably bad the last month.

Ok, we all know how much I hate stats but here goes nothing.

Melky is 3rd among AL CF in Range Factor, he's T-3rd in the league in outfield assists, driven in 71 runs and stole 13 bases. I don't know what more you want out of a 22 year old who is hitting 9th in your order.

Be at least league average hitting wise? He's been worse than Damon this year with the bat.

Sorry I didn't know 71 RBI and his AVG weren't good for your 9th hitter

He's hitting an empty .275. He has hit 5 extra base hits since Aug 5. That is pathetic. I don't want another Juan Pierre on this team.

He brings energy, did you hear Torre talk last night? Why aren't you complaining about the hard hitting Doug Mientkiewicz? That's our power position. Is it because he has an amazing glove? Well if so your contradicting yourself because Melky has an amazing glove as well.

Whats wrong with you Melky doubters!

I'm not a DIE HARD Yankee fan, but I am a big fan who goes to a couple games a month, and I KNOW that Melky has been valuable to our success...I mean, Kay says it all the time.

He's 2nd in the AL in assists. That's huge!
