It's easy to kick a man when he's down. My size 12's are waiting for y'all :D

Who learned their lesson? You? Certainly not all Mets fans.

How easily we forget about 2004? No one has. But at least now whenever you Met fans try to bring up "biggest collapse" blah blah blah we can throw something right back at you. We lost to a World champion team in the Red Sox, you guys lost to the Nats & the Marlins.

I am taking the high road? Uh, in case you didn't realize, I don't tell people to die, go on insane rants, or start chastising everyone when things don't go my way or when someone says something that I don't agree with. The "please stop" was more for you, not me.

why does abe always tell people they're gonna get banned? why haven't YOU been banned? probably because crying like a 10 year old isn't a bannable offense. too bad.

anyways, good luck in the playoffs. i hope a-rod hits the **** out of the ball so all the ignorant douchebags that rag on him shut their mouths.

I think Abe is a 10 year old girl. Man-up dude. We're having a discussion like men. No one is getting banned for that...

It must suck to be a Mets fan, but I told you guys that your team was playing over its head back in May. Looks like I was right. Joe Smith, John Maine and Oliver Perez all sucked down the stretch since they couldn't keep up their performances from the first half.

the team that is almost the same as last year's was playing over its head? yeah, okay. i've never liked perez nor thought he was good (how can you be with shoddy mechanics like that?) maine needs to work on his off-speed stuff a LOT. smith is a rookie, so i didn't expect him to be amazing after his start. delgado having the worst year of his career, not having alou for the whole season, and reyes deciding that he didn't want to play baseball anymore were pretty big in the end (apart from the bullpen refusing to throw strikes). i don't think joe smith "playing over his head" was that big of a factor, heh.

The problems were immaturity, lack of leadership from the vets, a front office that interfered in the clubhouse which ended up castrating Willie, a bad bullpen, starters that couldn't go more than 6 innings, Reyes regressing.

David Wright was the only one on that team to show leadership down the stretch. Unfortunately, 1 man can't do it all.

we have Jeter and Arod, the Mets don't .....

end of story

wait theres more.

We have guys like Rivera, Posada, Damon, Matsui, Cano, Clemens, Pettitte, Wang, Joba, Mussina....the Mets don't

The Yankees are a team full of winners, the Mets have a bunch of guys who haven't won anything in their career (outside of Glavine and Pedro) and it showed....the Yankees never gave up....the Mets had guys like Pedro and Delgado saying they were so good it got boring....thats the difference
