I happy to be in the game, but if we go on to lose it's going to worse twice as badly. We have to hold onto this lead...send a message to the Sox in a big way...
I'm hoping that the Yanks might let Joba pitch tomorrow, despite the 'rules'

ESPN made a good point. At 12:00 AM Eastern Time technically it will have been 2 days. Could he pitch then?

Joba's eligible for Saturday. The problem is Torre pitched him for two innings Wednesday when he didn't need to, thus preventing him from pitching now.

That's fine...even though Lowell gets to first base on the K...Vizcaino is good here, and then Mo in the ninth.
As long as Joba can pitch tomorrow...I thought I heard ESPN say something about him not being available Saturday...I should have caught that...

Three more outs...
What would be perfect would be if Joba wasn't even needed in one of the two remaining games, because we have a nice steady lead. Although I want Joba to pitch at some point this series with some meaning because he needs to taste the rivalry for his growth.

I know the Joba rules are on the conservative side and are especially annoying in games like this, but they have a purpose. Thanks to limiting his innings now, we'll be able to use him when there's a real life or death situation in October. Winning the division is a nice thought, but it's still very much against the odds and it's not worth breaking the rules for this game.
That said, my comment about Torre stands.
