I confused Byrd with Washburn. Lets play name that bullpen. I know JJ Putz.
Their pen is incredibly strong, which probably helps make up for their mediocore starting rotation. Sherrill and Morrow are also in the pen, I really think they are two of the more underrated relievers today.
I can understand how they are good with that lineup and bullpen, but I can't see how that starting rotation has held up this long.

Check Weavers numbers since the all-star break. He has been one of the better pitchers in baseball over the past couple months. His numbers are just inflated because of his early season struggles.
1-4 in our rotation, we are very strong. Felix and Washburn are consistent, and Batista and Weaver have been amazing since the break, both with ERAs under 3, I believe. Ramirez sucks and we could use a better #5, but our first four are very good, and I'd put them up against most rotations.
Atleast know a bit about our rotation and the players before you go around bashing them.

Pleaaaaaaaaaaase type complete sentences...
Anyways....Seattle has not had one starting position player get injured this year, which really helps. Also their bullpen is probably the best in the majors, and unlike ours has been consistent all year.
Does Seattle scare me one on one? No, but they can beat up on the rest of the league like we have been doing since the all-star break. I have no doubt we'll be able to handle them when they come to the Bronx...hopefully we don't keep losing games because were 3-4 in our last 7. If that continues you can kiss the playoffs goodbye.

What I was saying is that Jeff Weaver has been very impressive the past couple of months, and it has helped our team quite a bit. He's thrown a couple of complete game shutouts and goes deep nearly everytime. He does this almost every year (Puts together one great stretch), but he's doing it at the right time for us. I wont go so far as to say he isn't "crappy" anymore considering his track record, but Weaver definitely is on his game right now.
