I don't know if I'd say it was a panic move. The team didn't hesitate to call up Chase Wright before Hughes, and Wright had only pitched 2 games past A ball. Its early but we have had about 3 injured starters to go along with 1 awful healthy one. How many guys can you go to before Hughes? They already tried Rasner, Karstens, and Wright.

I agree it is a panic move but Wright wasn't all that bad. He pitched pretty well against the Indians and if some balls were called strikes like they would have for anybody who had pitched in the bigs before then his stat line would have looked a lot better. Throwing him into Fenway was a mistake but an unavoidable one. He needs a little work, but I think he will be back by September or at the latest out of Spring Training next year. -Jitpal

Panic move? The guy is the top pitching prospect in all of baseball. We have had one solid starter all season in Pettitte. Why not give it a chance and see how he does? If we were panicing we would trade him for John Leiber or something stupid like that

Well, all I wanna see now is the best in the minors win the RoY.

We were close the last two seasons with Cano, Wang, and Melky, now let's get it straight up.

That's some nasty movement on his pitches. As far as panic move goes, I'm writing this right after Crawfords grand slam off of Myers...so...yeah...I'm panicking...does that count?
