IGAWA REWORKS DELIVERY It is safe to say that no Class A team has used starting pitchers on consecutive days worth $74 million combined. That is what the Tampa Yankees will do this weekend, despite a hole in the major league rotation.

After Roger Clemens starts for Tampa on Friday, Kei Igawa returns to the mound Saturday. The Yankees would like him to pitch five innings as he learns his rebuilt delivery.

How long is it going to take for Kennedy.......Kennedy to be promoted to AA? This is becoming ridiculous.

I think there will be some shifting in the minors in the next month or so. The whole Villone/Henn thing needs to be sorted out. DeSalvo and Rasner will be sent back for Roger and Hughes. Plus, Igawa will have to be brought back at some point I suppose. Should be interesting to see what is going to happen with all of the rosters from A all the way to the Yankees. -Jitpal

Wow, Alan's K/BB really is impressive. He should get a promotion to Scranton soon if he keeps this up.

When you post Tim Battle stats, can you post his strikeouts too? :)

Hey NYKnstill, I got somebody for you. :) Reggie Corona... have you heard of him?

He's having a great season in Tampa as a 20 year old so far.

In 160 ABs

298 AVG, 1 HR, 8 doubles, 2 triples, 17 BB, 24 SO, 10 SB

I know how much you love those speed guys, here's one of them. :). If he gains more power and begins to hit, he's a very legitimate second base prospect in this system.

he was a catcher and they switched him to SS , now 2B ? , so I guess Robi better get his act together because Reggie can hit , I didn't know how fast he was.

that kid looks like a s tool player the power, speed, arm, range , patience he's only 20 years old :)

My new favorite prospect once TClip graduates, Ivan Nova :)

He's in Charleston now

7 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 4 SO, 0 BB. He has an ERA of around 2.90 now.

Like to see more strikeouts, but I love Nova's command... it will take him far.

Also, Kevin Whelan in AA Trenton

3 IP, 0 H, 5K, era is now 2.91

Yankees prospect Humberto Sanchez's elbow was so damaged, according to a person familiar with the situation, that orthopedist James Andrews removed a tendon from Sanchez's knee to treat the elbow.

Normally, that tendon comes from the ankle.

Andrews told Sanchez, "You should've had this done a year ago," according to a friend of Sanchez.

My guess like everyone else saids is that the MRI's didn't pick it up. Sanchez had a small tear that didn't show up beforehand, but then he suffered more damage this spring and that damage finally showed up on a MRI with Andrews discovering the full extent of the tear when he operated on Humberto.

It also helps that the Tigers didn't suggest anything because they wanted to use him as trade bait

Ian Kennedy: 7 innings, 5 hits, 0 runs, 2 BBs, 9 Ks - ERA down to 1.24

It's time...with the Rasner injury and T-Clip call up, there should be enough room in AAA for Marquez to be promoted, and then enough room in AA for Kennedy to be promoted.

What about his low K-rate?

The Yankees have exercised caution in promoting Kennedy, who has been dominating the FSL. Why would they promote a guy who just got rocked?
