Actually, as pathetically (Please Use More Appropriate Word) the Mets forum is with that Yankees thread, it keeps them off the board...so I love it.

That thread on the Mets board could be the most hilariously pathetic one on realgm, I wonder why they care about us so much?

It's the second longest thread on their forum.

I just came back from the game, and though I am an advocate of NO EXCUSES, the weather tonight was AWFUL. There would be times sitting in the bleachers that I thought it was November baseball.

That being said, one can just tell that the weather was getting to the players. Jorge had a great game but behind the plate he looked like a rookie. I'm not going to get all crazy about the game even though we lost. Its all good. GO YANKEES!!

What is with the sloppiness two nights in a row? Obviously it's the second game of the year but when a team doesn't lose to it's opponent by losing to itself it's much worse.

Pavano and Pettite both got let down by the defense therefore cutting their games short and forcing the bullpen to pitch 5+ innings again. I thought we traded 5 inning starts to Baltimore. Both guys pitched well considering it was the first start in 2 years for Carl and considering Pettite was thrown a bit off schedule BUT....the defense can't continue to leave the pitching hanging -- especially with our rotation.

The fans at Yankees Stadium are becoming enraging. An RBI double in the 1st and then he pops out and he gets booed. THE MAN ISN'T GOING TO HIT 900. Boo him after he pops out to 1st when we NEED him. Don't boo him in the 3rd inning for no reason. It's really beginning to just be a joke and it seems that they don't care about driving this guy out of NY. So be it if it happens - we definitely didn't make it any easier for him.

Look for much more solid play tonight and a win.
