which they are now forced to do by coverting SP prospects into relievers

For 2 months.

Oh yeah, and they also get to keep other big time SP like Kennedy, and their CF like Melky.

You are wrong. Once again. Olney said it himself.

Please, just stop, you are embarrasing yourself.

no, im just thinking

if the other team only wanted kennedy and none of the other prospects, and then settled for gabbard, that must mean that the other prospects arent as highly regarded as we make them to be, no? :dontknow:

Well, I'd rather have them have more quality starters than more bullpen arms or do you like the idea of someone like Julian Tavarez starting for us?

Starters can always pitch some bullpen, but bullpen arms can't always be starters.

Why would I? Guys can get injured starting, relieving, washing their car, driving in the back seat of a taxi. Logic would tell me that there is a better chance of injury pitching 7 innings every time out rather than 1 inning, but anything happens on any day. But the fact that you seem like you are actually expecting an injury makes no sense. Don't you think the Yankees do their homework when they do these things? Do you REALLY believe they would put a potential future ace at any risk?

Not only Gabbard. They took an OF Murphy who is one of the better OF prospects in the Red Sox system. They also took Engel Beltre who Gammons considers to be the next Ken Griffey Jr. even though he is only in the GCL and 16. So if they only wanted Kennedy, and this is what they got, you can now make your own decision if you think Kennedy is as good as those 3 guys or better or worse. -Jitpal
