Keep winning series...
I'm intrigued to see if Vazquez can turn it around and if Phil can pick up where he left off. And I'm sure CC will do his thing.

Yeah it sucks having to stay up until 1 or 1:30 to watch these west coast games, especially when I have class at 8 am three days a week

Good first inning by Hughes. He was getting squeezed but it didn't bother him like it did in 2008. He attacked the zone with his live fastball and struck two guys out. Also, he didn't throw a single curveball or change there. He can save that for his 2nd time through the order. Very impressed. -Jitpal

Throwing 93-94 again. I'll say it...Phil Hughes is back.

Phil starting the season GREAT, Joba in the set-up spot comfortably again and the team getting it done. I'm wondering if there's any merit to Nick Johnson losing his spot to Montero this quickly...doubt it.

Hughes was phenomenal. The rest of the AL really needs to watch out. We know CC, AJ and Pettitte are going to do what they do but if Javy get's his mechanics together and Hughes realizes the potential that we know he has there isn't a team in baseball that's even close. This was the Hughes Cashman didn't want to trade for Santana or Halliday. I don't think I've been this excited this late into April before. -Jitpal

How do you feel if you're the A's? You almost get no hit by the Yankees #5 starter and have to wake up for a day game today to face CC whose given up 4 hits and 2 runs combined in his last 2 outings.

Did Phil Hughes just arrive, or what? It was great to see him dealing the way he did last night.... so proud of the kid.

The combination of off speed pitches reliant pitchers and trailing the opponent, it makes this team play out of character. they dont work the count like usually do and wait for pitcher to make mistake, instead they are trying to to tie the game with one swing, its HR or nothing. and thats not our game.
Its Cliff Lee and the a spiked curveball all over again.

I'm International Yankees fan, so many of the games are on late at night which means i cannot watch them live. i sometime wake up in the middle of the night and watch games.
east coast games start 2am
west coast games start 5am (3hrs before work) l'll go straight to work after game.
