cash's ego screwed us this offseason, he brought back javy (he never wanted to trade him in the 1st place 5 yrs ago) just so he could prove people wrong, yea nice going there....let go of matsui due to injury history but brought in another injured player (but a yankee farm product, no surprise there)...started the granderson trade talk in the playoffs and gave up a lot to get him, simply to get younger, and now of course granderson is on the dl while austin and damon are raking

His ego? Not one person disagreed with any of the moves at the time they were made. Even so, it is MAY 2ND!. Melky Cabrera sucks, even if Javy had a 15.00 ERA right now I'd go and make that trade again. Matsui had to go, he is nothing but a DH and we are going to be using that spot to give Posada/ARod/Jeter/Tex some rest as the season wears on. If Austin Jackson pans out, he will be Curtis Granderson with less home runs...so tell me why we wouldn't make that trade 100 times over. The only mistake was Damon which we all agree on, but so be it.

Curtis granderson batting averge has been slumping each year and now is around .230 so i would think that i would not do that trade and keep Austin he has more of an upside.

How was Damon down the stretch last year? Let's not start crying over Damon just yet. Let's see his numbers midway through the season & more importantly in September. Do you honestly think Austin can keep his current success up? I don't.

Really?
kellmellus50 wrote:Curtis is avergeing .211 ..... 4 for 19 at bats (no-HR) which is what i expected his career is sliding downword, of coarse this is only exbition season so i can't get on him too much.
Now lets talk about Johney Damon who i would have traded for curtis but we got for free
He's hitting .333 ...... 6 for 18 (1-HR)
The player that replaced granderson is:
A.jackson hitting .375 ...... 9 for 24 (1-HR) and is playing allsome, like a young curtis used to play
I think the tigers made out like a fat cat dealing with the off season trades and pick-ups.
viewtopic.php?f=104&t=995245So, he got Damon for free but he's not a Tigers fan? Please.
