chances are the yankees will beat the mets so hopefully it's the final nail in the coffin for mr. gangsta gangsta overmanaging gangsta aka the guy who takes out a pitcher at 90 pitches to have the pinch hitter bunt

nice win.. nice outing by javy. if he gets going, we are straight..
what is up with mo struggling in the 9th of late? maybe he is not completely healthy... I mean back to back doubles with two outs in the 9th? come on mo..
anyway, good pitching by javy.. much needed win..

nobody really cares out there, its as simple as that...this team is just like 2008
look at jeters (lack) of range out there on those 2 grounders, definitely eye opening

really horrible performances all the way around.. No patience at the plate, no key hits, and our starters are pitching batting practice, especially vs a light hitting team like the mets.... we are about to lose another series and go 6 games behind the rays..at what point does this team show a sense of urgency? when they are 10 games out?
disgusting...

johan santana hasn't looked this good since he was with the twins.. now it seems as if the yanks are becoming the cure all for any player who needs a jumpstart...

mark texiera has been hitting 200 this season, i remember arod used to get hounded all the time, but its amazing how little criticism Tex gets despite his 180 mil deal. he's just stealing that money from the yanks

jason bay is a bum, and yea, of course he gets well vs the yankees...
TEx is playing like dog crap... stealing money for sure..
And with bases loaded of course cano pops out... I mean we are just lacking a big hit, I am sure they will come around, but after tonight we will be 6 games back... with the rays and boston playing each other... we need to start hitting and pitching better very, very, soon..

we are lucky to be just 6 games back with all these injuries to key players..
case in point.. 9th inning, runners on first and second and no out.. russo is ahead in the count of a pitcher who can't throw strikes.. he swings at ball 3 which is a pitch riding him high and inside and with a full count. swings at ball 4 and bounces back to pitcher.. clearly russo just hasn't seen enough pitches and isn't the quality hitter we usually have in the lineup at this point..

we can't catch a break.... garnder was safe the first baseman came off the bag...
then tex gets a cheap infield chopper hit... LOL.. this guy is not swinging the bat well at all..

A-rod missed two fastballs that he could have launched.. I mean he fouled both off!!! and he was right on top of them.. I mean that bum k-rod wasn't cracking 90mph with his junk...
and A-rod strikes out on a hanging change up... fransico rodriguez is a stinking bum.. the guy is trash...
another stalled comeback for the yankees... geez......
6 games out...

tex should really have his eyes checked out....for a "good" hitter, Ive never seen anyone hack at the bad stuff like he is
the R Sox have gained like 5 games on us in like 5 days, just pathetic
