Re: jeters eventual position shift
Andrew Marchant needs to save his job after that crappy article. Jeter is coming off a gold glove season. He doesn't have to think about position change because he can be a SS-DH till he's ready to retire.
Yanks have a pretty good prospect who might be the heir to the throne after Pena is a stopgap.

Re: jeters eventual position shift
Jeter is an average fielder, he is over-rated at the position cause he plays for the Yankees..... hell Vernon Wells would still be winning gold gloves with the Yankees
though I dont see where they can move him. 2nd base is safe with Cano, A-rod should stay at 3rd after all these years, just a personal view and DH is a waste for a guy like Jeter. DH should be a better hitter, preferably a power hitter
i have a feeling he'll be at SS for quite a while....... thats why Hechawaria didnt sign with Yanks
