personally, too much money and not interested in another NL pitcher

we should save the money for Lee :D

u could save the money for Lee, or u could trade for him now..... right now Tampa is the best team in the AL EAST, but with Cliff Lee with that rotation, Yankees r looking better, in my view.

Seattle apprently wants one of ur 2 top catchers and another top prospect......... Yankees dont have to give up anyone on the roster.

then u have an early start on the resigning Lee long term....... Lee/Sabathia/Burnett/Hughes/Pettite, wow, no competition

Oswalt's having a nice bounceback year thus far but last year it was looking like his ERA was finally starting to catch up to his gradually declining peripherals. That's not a good look on a 32-year-old.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Lee. Almost everything that could go wrong with Seattle has, and it's a tough sell that they can get back into contention unless they heat up immediately. On the other hand, Jack Z isn't stupid enough to do a desperation dump on Lee if he can't get something worth more than the Type-A picks from letting him walk.

I almost want the Phillies to get in on the Lee bidding for the sheer comedy involved.
