I don't think Granderson has had a game off since coming back from his injury just a couple of weeks ago. This is a good opportunity to get him a day off while not losing much in production because he doesn't kill lefties. Hardly a big deal IMO.

Yeah, they really need to do something with this bench before the trade deadline ends, because their bench is terrible. Thames is a good pinch hitter to have against lefties, but they have no OF defensive replacement and don't have any quality backup infielders (that can hit above .200). Vasquez has been pitching out of his mind for the last month (along with Pettite and Hughes) and they are getting no run support.

The offense doesn't need to be "addressed" they just need to get their heads out of their *****

LOL, this team is so overrated...they'll maul the weak opponents but fold meekly when facing a 500+ team

tampa losing again, but the problem is now boston will be just a game behind the yanks.. and even in the win column.. just pathetic baseball. from tex down to A-rod and crew.. again, 3 games in a row facing a bum pitcher and we get shut down... this is not looking good at all.. can't spin this mess... can't score runs for vaz who has been lights out of late.. now we give up two runs in the 8th.. this yankee team stinks right now...

their pen is having to pitch perfect every time because this offense isn't scoring any runs... the offensive depth is a mess... instead of wasting time with nick(always broken) johnson, they should have paid either damon or matsui.. just proving to be a big mistake....

but they are the typical up and down team... they will go on a 2-11 slump.. this mets team is not really good..... yanks have been playing bad of late..
