Yankees vs Mariners

Post#1 » by nykgeneralmanager » Tue Jun 29, 2010 6:30 pm

Tonight
RHP Phil Hughes (10-1, 3.17)
vs.
LHP Cliff Lee (6-3, 2.39)
7:05 p.m., MY9

Wednesday
RHP Javier Vazquez (6-6, 5.16)
vs.
RHP Felix Hernandez (5-5, 3.28)
7:05 p.m., YES Network

Thursday
LHP CC Sabathia (9-3, 3.49)
vs.
TBA
1:05 p.m., YES Network

Could be a sneaky tough series. Coming back off of a west coast trip the team could be sluggish, even after the exciting comeback win Sunday.

Hughes vs Lee is a tough matchup obviously, and nobody knows how Hughes will come out after being skipped...could be good or bad.

Tough to feel confident about a Vazquez/Hernandez matchup

Love watching Cliff Lee pitch, hes fun to watch. Cliff Lee has four walks and 76 K's on the season. No, that's not a typo. I still have nightmares of his knuckle curve  very few pitchers throw it because it's so hard to command.

"The Joba Rules" affecting Phil....

Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

of late, other teams pitchers have been pitching great against the yanks.. other than CC, our pitchers have not been up to the task... tonight is another example..

boston is down and might lose tonight, so we may still be in first all by ourselves, but this is a joke.. one of the worst hitting teams in the league is seemingly putting up runs at will and we can't scratch out a run... very dissapointing..

im not embarassed the yankees lost this series

we faced both Lee and the King (let's hope that we don't say that in terms of the Knicks) and won the game we should've.

It would've been nice if we picked up one against Lee or King but we can't win em all.

Offense has been brutal for a month now though...
