Hughes pitched brilliantly with just a fastball and curve.

Now if Burnett can just do that consistently. His stuff is better than Hughes'.

Since June 3rd (150 PAs) Teixeira is at .289/.387/.578 and his season OPS has finally cracked .800. With this in mind, I have officially decided to retire the crude and unpostable nickname I coined for him back in April.

the dude's been ops above 800 since may. productive... now he's just getting his aggregate stats back together this half month... OPSing 1300... that's bonds like.

I loved seeing my first yankee game on the 9th
