Derek Jeter Drinking Game

Drink Responsibly.

Take 1 shot for every time Jeter swings at the first pitch.
Take 1 shot for every time Jeter grounds out weakly to the infield
Take an extra shot if it happens on the first pitch.

Take 1 shot whenever Derek strikes out with runners in scoring position and less than 2 outs.
Take 2 shots whenever Derek GIDP"s.

4 Shots when Derek GIDP's swinging at the first pitch.

You are going to get pretty hammered by the 5th inning. Alcohol poisoning if the game goes into extra innings.

yeah jeter's been struggling... gard should definitely be leading off right now... jeter is more like the 9th spot.

Batting .270, his worst since his rookie season. It's hard to believe he's 36 (though I'm not making any excuses for his performance).

A disturbing stat courtesy of the guys at riveraveblues: over his last 305 PAs, Jeter has a line of .245/.322/.337.

At this point, there is absolutely no justification for hitting him at the top of the order and it's all the more frustrating to see the guy who should be leading off hitting 9th and putting up an OBP in the .395-.400 range. I highly doubt Girardi grits his teeth and moves him down in the lineup (especially in a contract year) but it needs to happen.

Jeter is beyond horrible tonight. Zero range from the SS position. ZERO

First pitch of the game and he swings and grounds out. How in the world is he our leadoff hitter when he only sees 5 pitches a game?

Jeter with a GIDP. If I were actually treating this as a drinking contest, I would have had about 20 shots so far.

What sucks is the 45,000 idiots at the game would storm the field if Jeter was hitting 9th, even though its where he belongs with Gardy leading off.

.302 average, .396 OBP, 26 SB...9 hitter
.268 average, .332 OBP, 10 SB...leadoff hitter

Jeter takes the first pitch AND doesn't ground out in the 1st, guess he isn't a fan of afternoon drinking

giardi is really loyal....jeter stays there....i think he misses damon behind him
