King Felix going tonight, so for the sake of one's blood pressure, probably better to not even turn the game on

AJ reminds me a lot of Mike Mussina...as a pitcher who doesn't trust his stuff. And hindsight is 20/20. Sure, Mussina won his share of games but few remember his first couple seasons as a Yankee when he would go into these atrocious games after not getting offensive support.

What AJ is, a confidence pitcher and after two games where he got zero offense, here's a perfect example where he comes in and gets shelled. Now we can see why A's taking one from Tampa last night is invaluable as the Yanks fight to stay ahead of Tampa.

The bigger worry was A-rod being removed. NOT a good sign at all. In the off season, the Yanks have to seriously consider building up depth and getting younger.

A-Rod to the DL.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

Yea, great win for the Yanks. Why?

Cause I really believe a team that struggles and grinds out wins with less superstar ridden parts really becomes more confident. Today was an example where Vasquez's arm has been exhibiting visions of 2004. A-rod on the DL. Lots of uncertainty and yet, a young man gets them out of that deadlock tie.

Also Gaudin actually gave a decent performance.

With Pettitte on the DL, AJ lost in his head, and Vasquez's velocity dipping...the Yanks continue to win and you can't ask for more than that.

Just a crushing and do we dare talk about CC as Cy Young? He's in the descussion.

Also can Hughes get 20 wins? Tight fit but not impossible.

CC has got to be the favorite if not in the top 2. He would have 20 wins already so far this year if not for Joba blowing a couple of big leads and the 4 2/3 game against the Roid Sox which had the rain delay which forced CC out of the game.

Hughes has 16 wins and another 7-8 starts. He might skipped a turn or two.
