BJ still stinks and Joe is an idiot for leaving him in that long. 2-3 baserunners every single inning. BJ would have been knocked out in the 3rd by a better team.
Clueless Joe 2.0 pack your bags and go to the Cubs

I am so sick of you and your idiot managing. 7th inning was beyond stupid.
Leaving BJ in the game too long.
Pinch hitting Berkman, burning him to use Golson, burning him to bring in Moeller
Using Golson as a pinch runner just so Gardner can bunt
Having Gardner bunting in front of Jeter when Jeter has 5 hits in his last 50 at bats or so.
Gardner would have stayed out of the double play.
What an epic fail of bad managing.

Clueless Joe 2.0 waste the whole bench before the 9th inning. GREAT MANAGING JOE! Chad Moeller is due up 3rd. Joe is a Genius!

Thanks for the loss, Cluless Joe 2.0! It all rest on your shoulders with your horrible managment.

So much for Pettitte starting on Sunday right? I knew they were going to push his return back some...
4 runs over 7 innings isn't bad at all. It's not like Baltimore is listless at the plate. However the Yanks blew a lot of opportunities. CC takes the mound tomorrow so hopefully order will be restored.

Say What?????? Speedster on first, speedster up against a pitcher who just issued a walk and has a horrible Walk/9 inning ration. What does Clueless Joe do? He has Gardner who gets on base all of the time BUNT. Even better Jeter and his .260 batting average was on deck. That is World Championship managing right there.
Lets have a guy who had a walk in 10 straight games, top 7 in the AL in OBP, fast as hell and can stay out of the double play BUNT. Which pretty much forces a guy who has 5 hits in his last 50 at bats to have to get a hit. GENIUS!
How about leaving BJ in far too long after he was at almost 100 pitches going into the 7th. How about leaving BJ in the game to face Brian Roberts with the go ahead run on second base and 2 outs. How about the fact that Roberts was beating up on BJ. It's pretty funny that Ivan Nova gets yanked quickly but BJ after all of his struggles gets trusted time and time and time again.
Clueless Joe 2.0, pack your bags, go to the Cubs and get the F Out.

AJ had two outs in the 7th...and Patterson can run like the wind, hence a measly single scored him from second. Nothing Joe could have done about that...let's not mistake Logan for Mariano. He's no sure bet.
Bottom line is, an awesome line up like the Yanks could not muster up more than 3 runs against a guy who had 4.71 ERA and an atrocious bullpen.
Now that Boston is killing the Rays, you guys who have your panties in a twist can come back down, the mouse is dead in the kitchen.

How many pitches did BJ had up to that point? Over 100
How many hits did Brian Roberts have off of BJ before? He was 2-3 with an RBI Single going into the 7th where he got another RBI single.
How well did BJ pitch against a crap lineup? 7 hits and 4 walks in 7 innings. That includes him getting a couple of lucky double plays and Brian Roberts being thrown out at second trying to turn a single into an extra base two times.
Any other team and BJ would have been knocked out in the 3rd with his crap.
Offense could only muster 3 runs?
You can thank Clueless Joe 2.0 for continuing to put Captain Jeter in the top of the lineup.
You can thank Clueless Joe 2.0 for bunting with a fast runner on 1st, a faster runner in the box who has a close to 400 OBP against a pitcher who issues walks. Why did Clueless Joe 2.0 do this? To get to the Captain and his .265 batting average. Brilliant! Take the bat out of the hands of the better hitter, give away an out all to get to Mr. Cold.

Again, 100 pitches is nothing for a pitcher like AJ or Sabbathia. If this was Hughes, I might think otherwise. AJ wasn't hit hard...the O's just did a good ol'fashioned run manufacture.

BJ stinks, 11 baserunners against the Orioles is horrible. Especially when they had a ton of baserunning mistakes and a couple of double plays. In no world should Cluless Joe 2.0 be leaving BJ out with the go ahead run on second to face Brian Roberts who was beating up BJ all day.

Yea, let's DEFINE horrible PERFORMANCES...100 pitches over 7 innings ZERO home runs and 4 runs TRUST me you'll take it. THREE innings 1 HR and seven hits and FIVE runs....that's a clunker.
Can we NOW discuss how does an offense that leads the league in RBIs only have 1 run against a guy with a 5+ ERA?
I love how every one seems to ZERO in on ONE guy to be the problem on the Yanks. This ain't hoops where ONE guy can carry a team.
As DeNiro said in the Untouchables, "I'm out there for myself BUT...I get NOWHERE without the TEAM."

Please let's not get crazy. They weren't going to give it to him in the FIRST place. Sports writers don't like the Yankees PLAIN and SIMPLE. Minnesota is their darling town...the Green Bay of MLB where they absolutely do nothing wrong.

It's simple man. The team is showing its age at the same time, its FA acquisitions aren't stepping up.
