OT: Yankees Clinch Wildcard

Post#1 » by GnarlesOakley » Mon Sep 27, 2010 4:01 am

Not exactly a lot to be happy about going into the playoffs, but no matter how sloppy it is, it's always nice to beat the Red Sox, especially when it means killing off their playoff dreams.

This is probably going to be a very short postseason though.

Didnt Jon Lester say they can beat us for the wildcard?

And I dont think its going to be a short postseason at all. I still see us winning the world series.

Wrong. They clinched a tie for the wildcard. They haven't done anything yet. They could still technically play Boston in a one-game playoff.

+1.

A Boston lose or a Yankees win will clinch a playoff birth.

Are the Yankees trying to not make the playoffs or what?
