Cashman not ruling out Pavano...

Last week, Cashman refused to rule out a run at Carl Pavano, after Lee the second-best starting pitcher in an admittedly weak free-agent crop. "I hate to speak in absolutes," he said. "But it's not something we've looked at."

It's bull but after the Yankees went another go-round with Javier Vasquez, anything is possible...and it wouldn't shock me if Pavano was given a 1 yr deal.

its all about creating leverage
cash has zero right now
signing reclaimation projects, bring back andy, and he would seem less desperate and teams might lower their demands for pitcher
in that same article he said cashman received calls for pitchers right after being denied for lee, so there are options, its just about gaining leverage so cashman doesnt come off desperate

If the Yankees resign Carl Pavano, I am getting in bed with a bottle of rum and not coming out until his contract has expired.
