I know we already have a long terms 1b in Tex and I know that Pujols could be the most expensive free agent ever. Does anyone think theres a chance that the stars could allign and this time next year Pujols is a Yankee?

Feb 17th, Tex and Montero for Albert, if agrees to sign with us

We Offer Albert a Short Term Monster Contract 165/5yrs or a Penny more than A-Rod (Robbing the Yankees)

-Montero is gonna be a future DH, A-Rod is a future DH + Our other catching prospect is pretty good and is actually a catcher

-Tex never shows up April and October, I just have the feeling he's Giambi pt 2

Our 2011 Lineup would :o

Gardner
Jeter
Pujols
Rodriguez
Cano
Swisher
Posada
Martin
Granderson

I would pounce in that in a HEART BEAT. Consider Jeter, Posada are On their way out. No one knows how long A-Rod's hip is going to hold out.

Yanks have the chance to add arguably one of the top 25 best players in MLB ever.

Consider his club house leadership...if the Cards are THAT stupid, the Yanks MUST pounce.

Don't be so sure. Gotta remember the Cards have the second most WS. Let's admit it, blaming the Yanks is the best way to give an excuse for not winning the WS and still sell tickets.

The yanks have not turned a profit in a loooooooooong time. No one is crazy enough to keep winning cause in this country every one wants a pay out including billionaires.

But I am telling you, Cashman & Bean counter Hal should NOT hesitate. Pujols is worth the entire farm. Don't blink like they did with Lee.

I dont see Albert getting Traded. The uproar in STL would be just off the hook. However if he is a FA. Do the yanks turn around and Trade Tex to the O's for say Matsuz then throw the big $$$ at Albert? Hmmm

Well apparently the Yanks can forget about trading Texiera to the Cards for Pujols

Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira says he will not waive his full no-trade clause under any circumstances, trying to put to rest speculation that he could be dealt to St. Louis for Albert Pujols.

"I'm not going anywhere," Teixeira said.

"I got that no-trade for a reason. I'm going to be buried in these pinstripes. You know what, I would be disappointed if the fans of New York weren't looking to make our team better, but they've just got to know I'm not leaving."

ESPN.com, citing a baseball official, reported earlier this week the Yankees would not explore a trade for Pujols.
