Yanks getting no-hit through 6.1 batters but Tex walks and A-Rod singles up the middle in the 7th. AJ has been lights out through 7, CAN the Yanks rally and tie it at 1-1?

Yanks strand 2 men on in the 7th and 8th...and Soriano gives up an insurance run. Not good in the 9th.

not a good night at the plate for the yanks, the double plays and cold bats.. jeter, posada and swisher are almost useless right now.... tex is cooling off big time, that DP in the 9th hurt.... wasted a very good pitching effort from AJ burnett who was really good tonight.. I want these next 3 games from this white sox team....

Every one of the Yanks losses except one was within reach. I hate facing teams in long losing streaks because baseball is a game of averages. The White Sox are not a bad team that won't rebound from 11 losses at some point. Still, 2-0 is a loss not to be upset about. Yanks are going to lose their share.

The white sox didn't win cheap. I was an incredible pitching effort, AJ pitched well enough to win but his adversary pitched even BETTER.

I think Soriano is not pitching healthy. Now, we realize why The loss of Feliciano is kind of big.

Let's see how the Yanks respond...

The problem goes back to the O's series. When Soriano got injured, Mo at age 41 was forced to come in and almost set himself up. After wasting roughly 50 pitches, Soriano was forced to be used the last couple games because Colon and Garcia have been moved into the rotation.

I'm not souring on Soriano yet...because the fact is, Feliciano was supposed to be the co-set up man. We all know how that worked out.

Once again, baseball is a law of averages. Yanks ran into a team DUE to win some games. Unfortunately it was their time but BOTH games have been VERY competitive and you can't ask for much more than that.

My biggest worry...the Yanks bats were bound to cool off but this is the Worst time to do so.

BTW Bret Gardner hitting .145...who's eating crow who thought the Yanks didn't need an upgrade in the outfield? Because I have been vocal that this guy only looked good in that line up much like Melky Cabrera.

There are positives. One, both AJ Burnett and Ivan Nova looked good going out there. You got length from BOTH pitchers. We know CC will be there. Hopefully Garcia and Colon can get the Yanks some wins. I feel fine so far.

Don't know how long the magic of "Botero" Colon will last but I am digging it. Actually, all the starters have pitched well so far, the offense just hasn't able to compensate for the pen's shortcomings. Tonight, 3 runs were enough. Tomorrow big daddy CC takes the mound.

I see the Red Sox have fallen back to last place but the Rays are awake and over .500. Time for the Yanks to get it together and widen their lead.

Side note:

As much as I like Swisher milking 22 pitches off a pitcher to tire him out as it goes to Tex, A-Rod, Cano I almost prefer Granderson in the second slot.

Looks like Andruw Jones is going to replace Brett "Hitless" Man Gardner .145

saw the highlights.. colon is throwing a two seamer at 95mph with some movement. wow. if he keeps this up, Hughes is going to have to pitch like Roy Halliday to get his spot back.. haha

What the hell has gotten into Colon? Seriously though, how does a guy not pitch for a year, gain weight, and come back throwing 95 with a 2-seamer?

i love watching the movt he puts on that fastball...it runs back in to the right hander and catches the outside corner....it runs away from the left hander, and they fly out as a result

just brilliant so far
