Great grind it out win. I love these kind of wins, teaches a team to take what's there. Guess who's up to .283?

I just hope when the season is over, Jeter takes a baseball bat to Brian Cashman.

Hey Cash, you ain't GEORGE STEINBRENNER...or even Hal and Hank. Let the man whose acct # is attached to those checks be the owner. You be the GM. I get it but airing out your laundry doesn't make Jeter look bad but YOU look like a sniveling little twerp with every hit towards 3,000.

While it is the KC Royals, AJ Burnett is just doing what he's supposed to do. A one-hitter through 7 innings and holding the lead over the Royals. 6Ks are nice.

I said it before the season got going, AJ Burnett is going to have a great bounce back season. Guy went through a horrible divorce all last summer. Didn't use the divorce as an excuse. Took a BEATING from the FANS and the media...that's called being a MAN cause you're paid like one.

The next start for AJ is going to be a killer vs. David Price. Must see TV.

So what do we say about the Yankees who needed Posada's bat to get a run?

yea, burnett has pitched great, yet we can't get runs and blew the lead... this teams hitting has really become a joke of late... burnett should be getting the win tonight and instead the yanks may be headed for a loss and burnett a No decision.. wow

big two out hit by granderson to tie the game!!!! this guy has been a beast of late.. if he gets his average above .300 and continues with his power numbers, we might be talking MVP candidate?

pathetic loss.. really this team continues to frustrate and waste good pitching.. why carlyle was allowed to come back out is a mystery, just a gift win to the royals and now we are back tied for first with the rays..

Going back to Robertson...As a rule of thumb, one out and two men on, I'm pulling the reliever. If it was two men out, you got an argument.

As for Carlyle, I don't understand why Joba couldn't be used for two outs? Mo got work...

Just a head scratched.

yankee defense is laughable.. cano with a stupid throw to second and I don't know where the SS was situated.. then you get cervelli with a dumb as rocks throw to second that goes into the outfield.. and then a bloop single that scores a run...

then you get melky who couldn't hit his way out of a paper bag with the yankees getting a double...

self destruction..

If cano makes a proper throw to second the royals are held to one run most likely..
