Soriano to Have Elbow Examined

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Rafael Soriano has been with the Yankees for an eventful four months, and his tenure took another fascinating turn Monday night after their 6-5 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays.
While answering questions about his sore right elbow, which will be examined Tuesday in New York by the team doctor Chris Ahmad, Soriano said he expected to miss another week or two based on advice given to him earlier in the day from the team’s executive vice president, Felix Lopez.
Soriano, who has pitched once in the Yankees’ last seven games, also said that he did not think his availability would have affected the outcomes of those games. He blamed a poor showing by the offense, not its bullpen, for the team’s six-game losing streak.

Soriano is a dick, but he is right. The offense is atrocious.

Levine must have some very serious dirt on the Steinbrenners to stay with the team after all the mistakes he's made over the years...

The Rays were extremely cautious with Soriano last season given his health issues the previous year in Atlanta. I wonder how differently he's been handled (if at all) this year?

He was strictly a one inning guy. I don't see Girardi using him that much differently. He seemed to enjoy going out every time to get the # of saves he needed to get a fat check.
It's EASY to pile on Soriano...if Cashman, sniveling bald clown didn't fumble the ball on Feliciano, this is a moot point.
Yanks got WAY too many problems to worry about Soriano: The offense, Philip Hughes, how long can Nova, Garcia, and Colon go? etc.
