BoSawx @ NY Yankees: Time to throw punch baby!

Post#1 » by Dr. Detfink » Mon Jun 6, 2011 7:50 am

Getting tired of the Red Sox fidgeting with their rotation so they can take advantage of the Yanks underbelly. Once again in a 162 game season head to head means very little in relation it the rest of the league. No matter...

The Red Coats are here! Sound the alarm, awaken Paul Revere, Beastie Boys style...

This team can play better. It needs to establish itself as the alpha dog after a long road trip. I think they will take 2/3 from the Red Sox.

Hell yes! If only we could go Colon, AJ, CC...but I can live with it. Now, the other part of the equation is time to hit.

garcia 4 runs in less than two innings.. yankees blow chance to score big runs vs lester in the first.. Down 4-1 vs lester.. not good..

only thing is we made him throw a lot of pitches in that inning..

might have to chalk this one up as a loss....

Pretty sad when Posada got more hits than any other Yankee today. Bottom line, you're not going to get that many runs off Lester. Garcia pitched well but the shaky first inning gave no margin of error so when the pen buckled it became a deep hole.

That's fine. I don't expect much putting the #5 pitcher vs Boston's number #2. Can the Yanks get one against Wakefield and Beckett with CC in the mound is the true mantle of this team's character,

Why does changing the rotation surprise people? Fans want results when these two teams meet, I mean goodness, you see how fans of these two teams both act. I love it though, the most intense rivalry in sports.

Not the most intense rivalry in sports. More like the most expensive ticket in town. Right now, Cards/Reds is more intense. Sorry...

So what have we learned after two games. Yanks are not hitting well with RISP. Boston's line up put them ahead early putting pressure on the Yanks offense but also the pitching not to yield any more runs. TOUGH with the Red Sox line up.

But what the 2009 season taught us as Boston went 9-0 on the Yanks is that in MLB you play the schedule not one particular team. Then in the post season, anything can happen.

this team is nothing like 09, that team had RISP successful players on it, and jeter/burnett hadnt turned into a stiff
