Money Ball vs Bronx Balls of Fury

If your gag reflex is still intact, you might vomit vehmently at Brad Pitt playing a patriarch interpretation of Billy Beane whose sole intention was NEVER to keep MLB in Oakland but how to use the fans and rape the big markets of prospects by selling damaged goods like a used Car salesman. In a couple seasons, the San Jose A's in Silicon Valley and overpriced suites will suddenly have money and prospects to boast as a success story...
In the meantime, we can enjoy kicking their a$$...Hughes had no control in the early innings but settled down after the Yanks exploded.
Edit: Get me Nova, Cashman...
NEW Good luck Charm, Pharmcat's ire. Teixiera on fire!

I never thought I'd be so disappointed with the Yankees being up 7 runs.

I just don't feel comfortable right now because Hughes is kind of in April mode working out the kinks and getting back into shape of pitching in the pros on a regular basis. Right now, I do not feel comfortable having him pitch in a playoff game.

Yep, last night's L was terrible to watch, but it has been nice watching colon keep his bounce back going and the bats coming out a little bit. Looks like Robertson might have some trouble keeping his ERA below Mo's...

Robertson is no Mariano Rivera. No one has that confused. Despite Dangerous Dilinger Dave's meltdown, he is still worth more than Soriano, Joba, Marte, Feliciano, Logan...not saying he is Mariano's heir but he has been so reliable. Without Dave, the road to Mariano is very, very trecherous.
I am not liking the Yanks after the break so far, reminding me too much of last season. I hope they start turning it around.

Just to be clear, I love all things robertson, and really want this club to pull it together so we can see the 8th/9th inning duo of Robertson and Mo throughout what is hopefully an extensive post season run.
Post break things haven't been great, but Colon and Freddy aren't looking as bad as they right out of the bat, Tex needs to get out of his funk, and we'll see what the deadline brings, but man, I think this is all about King Philip getting his groove back.

As much as I dislike Soriano, his return could be a huge boost if he somehow reverts to last year's form.
