Seattle Super losers @ NY Yankees

I'm kind of nervous about a team that has lost this many times. The Red Sox pitching was bailed out by their ridiculous hitting (what the hell happened to all our power btw?). Meanwhile, the Yanks can't seem to score enough runs to bail out their pitching when it's actually doing well. Confused? I am.

Tonight Freddy "got fingered" Garcia will be flashing that 88mph "deceptive" stuff against Vargas. Followed by CC "guys gonna give me more than a run?" Sabbathia vs. Fister and the one we all are interested in Felix Hernandez vs King Philip Hughes.

Mariners always play the Yanks tough...Hold on tight.

Side note: I love pitchers that say "I'll waive my no-trade only if it's to the Yanks or Red Sox." Translation, bidding war. No way Cashman goes after that.

Jeter homers! Extends the lead 3-1....now, Nunez getting in the action 4-1. Long way to go.

Didn't know Ichiro was hitting .267....Right now looks like the Red Sox have all the offense.

Damn good win tonight. Offense busted loose. Need these wins before Felix vs King Philip.

And boston lost.

Welcome BACK Eric Chavez!

CC has 11Ks and no hits through 5.1 innings...CY Young voters what else does this guy have to do? And Cashman, PAY that man his money with a blank check for him to fill in.

Unfortunately unless the Yanks upgrade that pitching they are going NOWHERE. Boston, Philly, and the Giants have way better rotations.

A little tense but I liked the vigor to pull through Robertson. Here here to the return of Chavez!

He lost the perfect game, but he has been a beast this year.. a BEAST..

DAvid robertson is a flat out stud so far.. LOL.. he is now throwing mid 90's and developing other pitches.... he also has the mental makeup.. in 2009 playoffs, his performance in the game with the bases loaded and one out was amazing.. can we say future closer?

The allstar game invite exclusion is insane to me...every time he pitches it's reinforced in my mind. I can't help but think about that. (the late invite doesn't count).

His propensity for getting himself into danger makes me iffy on the closer tip, although he always seems to get himself back out of trouble. His mental fortitude is definitely closer-like, and K-rod loves to get himself into trouble before burying a team...so it's possible.

Yup. I'm concerned about Hughes. You can't hope that this guy is ready to be the #3. Nova should be back in the rotation, Hughes should be working out the kinks. It's safer for the kid and it's better off for the Yankees.
