About the only thing worth noting in Chicago is how many crazy things Ozzie Guillen can say to re-emphasize that if anything Latin ball players are colorful characters. Expect Ozzie to say some crazy stuff about well, anything. You'd almost beg to be the reporter who calls Ozzie, "Jerry Manuel" just to get a dirty look and some kind of entertaining tirade. That's all he can do with an aging team where the GM is trying to secure a foundation but won't be allowed to spend or trade.

Really, the White Sox are kind of like Obama's June approval ratings. Just under .500.

While some things worked in Chicago's favor like Konerko's contract, other things didn't like Adam Dunn's 12 million a season. Jake Peavy hasn't measured up to the hype he had in San Diego but one more surgery and Jason Schmidt will give him a Build-a-Bear doll.

Lastings Milledge: 2 games played, 4 at bats. hit .250. After giving up #44 for Dunn with Nationals, Lastings cleared waivers and has accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Charlotte. I think the next time he hits a home run he should kiss babies. If he ever does.

Humber vs. Colon

Yanks should clobber them right? They'll have to as the Red Sox face Cleveland.

Agreed. With Hughes it's a combination of getting into the act of pitching in the pros on a regular basis and refining that location. He looked a lot better today...but there are many hurdles ahead. Confidence first, the wins will come...

Ivan Nova takes the mound...I realize he doesn't have killer stuff but he has poise. I like this kid as a way of giving guys in the rotation a little more rest as we move into September.

Said it a few days back, but I love this Nova kid. AJ's got better stuff, but talent/salaries be damned, if I'm picking a starter for the playoffs, I'll take Nova.

Never liked Ozzie. Felt he did more to emphasize a negative stereotype than bring "colorful" character to the sport. I'm not 10 yrs old, the world is full of evil and bias since before I was born. I don't need ESPN making money off of broadcasting what I already know.

And that guy did more yapping than he did managing. He's been out of line more than a few times with management and the GM. He rants about management does nothing, then the GM tries to get him more talent and he throws him under the bus for not keeping the youth, which is it Ozzie?

As for the Yanks Ivan Nova is the right man for this 6 man rotation that is keeping every one fresh.
