Yanks are cash strapped.

Bean Counter Hal will NOT allow the Yanks to make a deal because of the heavy contracts and new CBA lux tax. That's fine. I understand.

Let's see if this squad can scrap for a win. Tex out of the game. Chavez & Ichiro went yard.

1 run down...

Runner on second, no outs and Ibanez strikes out.

Tough loss for the Yanks. Like I said in the other thread, baseball is not without its rough patches. No time to dwell, tomorrow is another fight.

Horrific game. Seems like the Yanks injuries and innings logged are finally taking their toll.

Again, I believe the hyperbole on my assessment of Ivan Nova has been unjust. He's a great kid. I want him to succeed BUT it wasn't his stats during Exhibition games but really how he looked. Knew his ceiling wasn't going to be higher than a #5. End of story.

The second half of the season defines Champions. This team has to decide who it is. We KNEW it was an aging team. The injuries were bound to happen. One thing is for sure, the face of the Yanks Derek Jeter has proven his worth hitting .312...

Ichiro is CLEARLY not the same player...but very little risk.

However if there is ONE bright spot, Joba Chamberlain was activated from the DL.

Yanks win 12-3! Hughes takes over the win lead in bizarro world.

Yea, I think the team needed that slaughter to wake itself off and say, "Hey we can still score in buckets. We're the Yanks!"
