Wade Miley picked up a win after allowing two runs in 6 2/3 innings versus the Pirates on Wednesday.
Miley had it easy today; not only was he facing a punchless lineup, but he got three runs of support in the first, three in the second and four in the fourth. He's opened up 2-0 with a 2.13 ERA after his late-spring dead-arm concerns.
CC Sabathia was impressive in Friday's 5-2 win over the Orioles, allowing two runs (one earned) over a season-high eight innings.
Sabathia's fastball velocity was right around 90 mph, but it didn't matter much on this chilly night in the Bronx, as he struck out a season-high nine batters. He scattered eight hits in the victory, but didn't walk a batter and benefited from a wildly entertaining triple play in his final inning of work. The hefty lefty will carry a 2.25 ERA into an interleague matchup next week against the Diamondbacks
