Houston Astr-oles (7-18) @ Yanks (15-9): Keep it rollin'

For the first time in FIFTEEN YEARS, I received a phone call from the NY Yankees ticket sales office, "I see that you come out to see the Yankees play quite a few times a year. I'm calling on behalf of the Yankees wondering if you'd like to save some money!" Translation, Lyle Overbay isn't putting butts in the seats.

No matter how much Cash and Hal sell this 189M payroll, they realize the fans are NOT going to PAY $$$$$$ to see Cano and the salary dumps play even though they are doing VERY well under the circumstances. At the end of the day, the Yankees want to charge their fans MORE to see their STARS play.

Shame on you people for not paying $75-125 for "meh" seats to see Francisco DH.

Tonight the Yanks have a chance to sweep their next opponent but even if the Yanks extend their record to 18-9, I don't see fans willing to pay until some of the stars are back from the DL.

Hafner is on a roll. Ichiro starting to come around hitting second. Raising his average to .255

I dunno how the Yanks are getting these wins but they are scraping them together one by one. I'll take two out of three as they fight to keep second place.

Youk and Granderson set to come back on mid May. That should be a tremendous boost.

Then hopefully Tex in June.

And if all goes well, Jeter in Pineda by July.

Getting all of the pieces together for a run.

Good point.

But I think IF Pineda comes back, Hughes can really bolster that pen. Hughes-Robertson-Mo combo is sick.

I'll say this about the Yanks right now. With a lot of the stars injured, watching the team win is a lot more fun. You never know which bench guy will come through and contribute for the win (I'm in no way shape or form saying this team doesn't need any of the guys on the DL).
