Well he wasn't going to get the call up anyways. MLB prospects take a few seasons before the call up...then a few more to mature. Not quite ready to throw the baby out with the bath water.

The clock is ticking for GM Brian Cashman who pretty much is banking on Pineda panning out with the team.
