The Yankees are presently tied for first place in the AL East and one less loss for the best record in the AL. Parity or mediocrity?
Here was the line up that marched out against the Rockies:
Gardner .267
Nix .224
Nelson .124
Francisco .114
Boesch .205
Overbay .238
Stewart .245
Ichiro .267
Outside of Cano and Wells, this is a very ugly line up. Yet, it's doing just enough behind the pitching to get the win. Credit to Cashman or the schedule?
The Royals are slowly but surely becoming a competitive team. They finally spent some coin on James Shields, Wade Davis, and Ervin Santana.
We'll find out are the Yanks really that good or the Royals really overrated?
Hughes: last 3 starts have been very strong. Can he hold on to his spot when Pineda comes back?
Pettitte: Is Father Time finally getting to Andy? Or is it just tweaking his pitch selection?
Kuroda: most consistent starter right now.

That's just it. When you have that kind of pitching, it makes .200 hitters look clutch.
