Seattle Mariners (18-20) @ New York (24-14): Grandy's Back!

Is balance the key to this year's Yankees? Nothing stands out on the roster except one legendary cat who leads the league in saves. The Mariners have two exceptional starters in Felix Hernandez & Iwakuma who are top 5 in ERA and win/loss but the Mariners are below .500 despite adding some offensive artillery.

So where does the Pineda for Montero trade stand? Pineda is allegedly due back sometime in late June. I say, after the All-Star break. Montero is hitting .200 with 3 HRs and 9 RBIs. I really do believe Pineda can be a huge difference with the way the parity in the AL seems to unfold.

The Yanks get a little more firepower in the return of Curtis Granderson. Cashman seems intent to trade Curtis but he has to improve his stock first...and then I think to myself well, what is he going to get for him? Don't think he'll get what he thinks.

Should be a good strong test for this team that continues to get back its players one by one...

CC's scaring me a little these days. Yanks survive Felix and tie the score 3-3.

Lyle Overbay is the most clutch Yankee this season. Wow.

Robertson holds lead...

Hmm...the Yanks go up 8-1 in one run games? (And Mo nails down another save)

Seriously, no disrespect to the Yankees on the DL, but doesn't anyone else think the Yankees are more fun to watch this season?

It's great so far but curious what happens when they start facing Boston, Tampa again...(which is soon)

The pitching is saving their bacon every time. That's why I am very curious to see Pineda pitch this season.

Another great match up on the way, Seattle's other power pitcher, Iwakuma is having a tremendous season. Yanks got to him last year...can they do it again? Phil Hughes Had a ND in KC after winning 2 straight.

Yanks need to keep winning so it gives their big guns every opportunity to rest and return at full health.

Yanks should have had this one but...the offense couldn't come up with one more 1 run game heroics. Make that 8-2.
