Soriano did a nice job digging out that potential game ending double play. Bottom of the 9th Yanks trail 6-10.

The thing is, this is no different than mid 80s where the Yanks signed these declining stars and refused to rebuild. The only difference is, Cashman thinks getting a guy for cheaper substantiates the move.

Well, when's Pineda pitching for us? That's 2 seasons of no starts. What do the Yanks do with most of their disappointing youth? Hughes, Joba?

No hits for Soriano or Cano as the Yanks fall again, 0-1.

Btw fans of Vernon Wells move, 0-3 fell to .238.

Again, Cashman got good reputations at a decent price but that's it, a name brand. 4-5 yrs PAST their prime.
