LA Angels (53-64) @ New York (60-57): Mirror, mirror

Yanks and Angels have to be looking at each other as teams scratching their heads with what went wrong? As bad of a situation the Yanks are in, the Angels are in much, much worse shape. Hamilton, Pujols, Wilson are ugly contracts...

Outstanding performance by Kuroda. Took him a season to adjust to the AL but since then he's been an ageless wonder. Perhaps one of the few reasons to watch the Yankees this season.

Despite facing a pitcher who has a 4 ERA, the Yanks managed just 2 RBIs on 7 hits. Alex Rodriguez tied with Jeter for home runs, got 1 hit raising his average to .273. Soriano's average has dropped below .200. Good news, Curtis Granderson who led the Yanks in RBIs the last 2 out of 3 seasons has got one with Brett Gardner for the win.

Mo got a rest. Robertson gets a save.

Damn CC. Do you have a case of Phil Hughes-itis in the first inning?

Stat Padding!!!!! Yanks big guns finally sound off: Soriano 6 RBIs, All-is-Wells, A-rod hits, Grand-daddy, Cano!

Can the Yanks make it 3 in a row with Nova taking the mound?

4 game win streak. 3 straight against the Angels. Want to enjoy this but fact, is the Angels are a terrible team.

so true, but it is fun to see us scoring runs, and soriano is hot as hell... never wanted to get rid of him the first time around..

remember if not for that bloop hit vs rivera in the 2001 WS vs arizona soriano goes down as the hero, he hit that homer off schilling the inning before....

Yawn. Yanks move down a few places in the draft.

They aren't making the playoffs. Heck, they aren't catching Baltimore for 3rd place.

Yea, I have been thinking that as well. Why are the Yanks who are bereft of a farm system, adding over the hill players that keeps them in the middle of the pack? Today they picked up Ryan Reynolds. Um, why? .215 slugger when you have Alex for his appeal, playing to the end of the season.

Again, if this organization was like the NY Giants where GM Jerry Reese was a scout before taking the GM position I would feel better about it.

Cashman is no different than Isiah Thomas when it comes to his methodology of picking players. Can't use Stick or Bob Watson as excuse anymore. It's been more than 10 yrs after their run. Still, only Andy Pettitte has been a proven commodity in SP from the farm.
