you could tell in his body language on his post game interviews that he was just grinding down the days to retire

Think a guy like Andy looks around and sees his teammates moving on and thinks the best way he can help the team is by retiring and taking that 10M off the books.

I'm going to miss that guy. Wish he never left for Houston for that stretch - he'd have broken all the starter records.

i always wondered if andy wouldve folded like a cheap chair against BOS the way brown and vazquez did in the POs

In his last 8 starts, Andy has an ERA of 2.03 and only 3-1. NO run support for this guy. today he's pitching a classic on Mo's last home game.
