OT: Who is the next Yankees all-time great?

When you think about the Yankees of the last decade, a stream of big names comes to mind, Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte, Alex Rodriguez, Chien-Ming Wang. Who's the next Yankees great though? Phil Hughes? Brett Gardner? There seem to be a serious gap in talent between the old and new generation of the Yankees. I just hope the Yankees won't become another laughing stock of the city besides the Knicks.

Well considering Hughes left in the offseason and this is a basketball message board I'd say this is a pretty fail worthy thread.

He wasnt even good.... And did you just mention Chieng Ming Wang with the rest of the Yankees greats? Your realize he hasnt been on the Yankees in 4 years right?

Either this is a troll thread, or you know nothing about baseball or the Yankees.

The answer would have been Cano had he not left. Now its either going to be Pineda or Solarte if they pan out. But who knows. It def isnt Gardner or Phil Hughes    :banghead:

Your sarcasm is adorable. A fan of the team would know that players they reference have left. My sense is that you're a Mets fan or some other such troll.

And for a REAL answer:

I think Gary Sanchez has a chance to be fantastic.

I know he seems streaky at the moment, but I think he can come out of it.

If he can consistently put up .270/20/80 I will be quite happy, and I think he is capable!

I think he can be great but we'd probably trade him bc of McCann. I like Aaron Judge

I'm hoping the implication that Wang being an all time Yankees great and Hughes and Gardner possibly being Yankees all time greats was a weird joke...
