Tampa Bay Rays (13-16) @ New York (15-12): are we worried?

Kuroda didn't have it, CC is a 5 inning pitcher, Pineda is hurt, Nova is out...Tanaka is the Yanks only sure starter. Problem is, one pitcher can't carry a team. Ray's tonight...

The Nets won tonight so I knew the Yankees would lose. It's becoming a thing, neither team wins on the same night as the other.

Well that was a waste of nearly 6 hours. We need Pineda back soon because Nuno pitching 5 IP or less is killing the pen. Tanaka needs to go 6 or 7 tmr

Tex looks like a brand new offensive player. Looks like his new batting approach is working. Great to see.

Holy cow! This is the Tex we've been WAITING to return. Where has this guy been? Geezus man!
As for Tanaka, I will not stand for any negativity! Look, the defining moment of a pitcher is NOT his stuff but how he recovers when he's not at his best. 3 runs? Oh boy hoo! He stopped the bleeding, went 7 innings, and struck out 5 without his best stuff.
I'm sorry but right now, NO OTHER Yankee pitcher can do that.

I agree but I'm pretty sure he is close to the top of the league in most HRs allowed for a SP. Thankfully most of his HRs are usually solo shots

I agree. I wasn't being critical of him lol. Just was saying the only thing with him is he give up quite a few HRs but they're mostly solo shots so not that bad

That has more to do with placement and certainly a rookie adjusting to a new level of competition will make those adjustments. I didn't see anyone freaking when CC was giving up homers when he became a Yankee.

I'm not worry about the homeruns, especially if he keeps up with the strikeouts and number of walks. As long as he does that, what ever homeruns he gives up will be limited to single to maybe two runs.

Wow, CC Sabbathia...after the Yanks tie the score 1-1, he proceeds to put two men on, gives up a fat one that ends up being an inside the park home run. Sabbathia is not junk ball pitcher. Sorry.

Aceves keeping the Yanks in it. Think Girardi is over thinking the line up. The Yanks were a hitting machine when it was: Gardner, Jeter, Ellsbury, and Beltran. Followed by Tex, McCann, Soriano.
