It looks like CC is heading towards microfracture surgery according to Girardi. I guess that pushes up our need to acquire a starting pitcher. Who do you like taking over for Whitely now that we know Sabathia isn't returning.

Not counting Jeff Samardzija or David Price these seem to be the names that are out there the most. Even though the team has struggled at the plate, I see Cashman going for a SP first.

Ugh...this season. Samardzija would be great but that's not going to happen. Price has red flags.

I'd take a look at Hammel or McCarthy. Both guys are having decent years on bad teams. Although I don't really trust national league pitchers.

I don't want to pay Lee and don't want to give up the prospects it would take to get Samardzjia or especially Price. Either way, its obvious that Cash needs to make a move now. At least we found out early.

Wow, the A's putting the hammer down on the rest of the league. Trading for Samardzjia AND Hammel. They are clearly the overwhelming favorite now in the AL.
