Yes. He had the number before it was banned to wear.

yeh but it Jackie Robinson day so I see no problem. w/o Jackie there is no Mariano, Alex Rodriguez, Jose Reyes, Griffey Jr. and yes even Barry Bonds :nonono:

Barry Bonds was great before the steroids so we should be able to appreciate his pre-size 9 hat size days

Everone was on steroids, the fact that Barry Bonds gets pointed out because people dont like his personality is stupid. The real person at fault here is Bud Selig, he and his top officials knew what was going on yet did nothing to stop it. They saw the revenues generated and fans being put into the seats and reaped major benefits from it.

Oh I agree. Barry was the best player in baseball before steroids but was getting overshadowed in the media by people that were clearly roided up (McGuire & Sosa) & his jealousy brought him to steroids. It was the culture of baseball & I hate how Bonds is the face of it when in reality he got into the game at the tail end of it.

Plus the fact that San Francisco's ballpark has had the least amount of homeruns hit in it since it opened....yet his power numbers are still off the charts...
